Anti-TNP2 Antibody

Transition Protein 2 (TNP2) is a key nuclear protein expressed during the latter stages of mammalian spermatogenesis, where it transiently replaces histone variants on condensing spermatid chromatin before being displaced by protamines. This polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com was raised in rabbit and is affinity-purified for studies of male germ cell development and chromatin remodeling.

The antibody is supplied at 1 mg/ml in PBS with 0.1% Sodium Azide and 50% glycerol, packaged as a 50 µl vial of ready-to-use stock. It is unconjugated, allowing direct fluorophore or enzyme coupling for the listed applications: Western blot (WB), immunohistochemistry (IHC), and immunofluorescence (IF) on human samples. Recommended storage is at -20 °C in aliquots to limit freeze-thaw cycles; protect from light if a fluorescent conjugate is later prepared.

Reactivity has been confirmed against human TNP2, supporting research use only in investigations of sperm nuclear maturation, infertility biomarker discovery, and the histone-to-protamine transition.
