Anti-TNNT2 Antibody

Cardiac troponin T (TNNT2) is the tropomyosin-binding subunit of the sarcomeric troponin complex in striated cardiac muscle, where it controls calcium-dependent cross-bridge cycling between actin and myosin. The polyclonal antibody distributed by Antibodies.com was raised in rabbits against TNNT2 and is supplied as 100 µl at 1 mg/ml in phosphate buffered saline with 0.05% sodium azide at approximately pH 7.3, validated for Western blot detection in human, rat, and mouse-derived lysates.

Because the product is unconjugated, it can be paired with HRP-, fluorophore-, biotin-, or alkaline phosphatase-conjugated secondary reagents, or directly labelled for use on custom assay platforms. For azide-sensitive downstream conjugation, brief dialysis against PBS before coupling is recommended. Common research applications include cardiomyocyte differentiation studies, characterisation of troponin isoform switching during embryonic development and pathological remodelling, and experimental models of cardiac injury. To preserve activity, store refrigerated and protected from light, aliquot upon first use, and freeze at -20°C for longer-term storage; avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
