The TNNI1 polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com is a rabbit-derived IgG reagent that recognizes Troponin I, slow skeletal muscle isoform, a regulatory protein of the troponin complex expressed predominantly in slow-twitch (type I) skeletal muscle fibers. Supplied as 100 µl of unconjugated antiserum, this reagent is validated for reactivity against mouse and rat samples, supporting studies in rodent models of skeletal muscle physiology, fiber-type specification, and contractile apparatus remodeling.

TNNI1 functions as the inhibitory subunit of the troponin complex, modulating calcium-mediated actin-myosin interactions during contraction. Researchers investigating slow-fiber predominance in aging, exercise adaptation, neuromuscular disease, or developmental myogenesis use anti-TNNI1 antibodies to differentiate type I from type II fibers and to monitor isoform switching in response to denervation, training, or pathological challenge. The polyclonal format provides recognition of multiple epitopes on TNNI1, useful when working with truncated or post-translationally modified protein variants.

This unconjugated format is compatible with secondary antibody-based detection chemistries, including HRP, fluorophore, or biotin conjugates, enabling flexibility across chemiluminescent, fluorescent, or chromogenic Western blot workflows. The reagent is intended for research use only and should be stored refrigerated, with aliquots prepared on receipt to limit repeated freeze-thaw cycles of the antibody stock.
