Anti-TNNC1 Antibody

Produced in rabbit as an unconjugated polyclonal reagent against the cardiac and slow-twitch skeletal troponin C isoform (TNNC1), this Antibodies.com primary antibody supports cardiac and striated muscle research through Western blot, immunohistochemistry, and immunofluorescence workflows. The target protein binds calcium within the troponin complex and regulates actomyosin ATPase activity during contraction, and altered TNNC1 expression is studied in models of cardiomyopathy, heart failure, and contractile dysfunction. Reactivity is confirmed for human, mouse, and rat samples, enabling cross-species comparisons of myofilament regulation in ventricular tissue, isolated cardiomyocytes, and skeletal muscle sections. Supplied as 100 µl of liquid at 1 mg/ml in PBS with 0.1% sodium azide and 50% glycerol as a cryoprotectant, the reagent is ready to dilute for immunostaining and immunoblotting without further conjugation.
