Affinity-purified polyclonal antibody raised in rabbit against TNFSF13B (also known as BAFF, BLyS, TALL-1, THANK, or zTNF4), a type II transmembrane cytokine of the TNF ligand superfamily that drives B-cell maturation, survival, and immunoglobulin class switching through binding to its three receptors BAFF-R (BR3), TACI, and BCMA. This unconjugated reagent from Antibodies.com is supplied at 1 mg/ml in PBS with 0.1% sodium azide and 50% glycerol as a 100 µl vial, validated for western blot and immunohistochemistry on human and mouse samples. TNFSF13B is expressed by monocytes, macrophages, dendritic cells, and neutrophils, and dysregulated signaling has been linked to autoantibody-driven conditions such as systemic lupus erythematosus and rheumatoid arthritis, making this reagent a useful tool for studies of B-cell biology, transplant immunology, and autoimmune disease models. The polyclonal format recognizes multiple epitopes on the target, supporting consistent detection in tissue sections and immunoblots where a monoclonal reagent may miss certain isoforms or post-translational variants.
