Raised in rabbits and supplied as an unconjugated polyclonal primary antibody, this reagent specifically recognizes human TNFRSF1B (TNF Receptor Superfamily Member 1B), a roughly 461-amino-acid type I transmembrane receptor that serves as one of two principal cell-surface binding sites for tumor necrosis factor alpha. Distributed by Antibodies.com as a 100 µl liquid aliquot, the antibody is validated for Western blot and immunohistochemistry workflows against human samples.

TNFRSF1B, also known as TNFR2 or CD120b, is functionally distinct from the companion TNFR1 receptor: its cytoplasmic tail preferentially recruits TRAF2 and triggers NF-κB activation, with downstream consequences for T-cell co-stimulation, regulatory T-cell expansion, oligodendrocyte regeneration, and vascular endothelial homeostasis. Because the reagent is polyclonal and unconjugated, it offers broader epitope coverage on the full-length receptor than a monoclonal would, and laboratories can couple it to HRP, biotin, Alexa Fluor dyes, or gold nanoparticles according to the detection chemistry of their assay.

For short-term handling, store the vial at 4 °C; for longer-term storage, freeze at -20 °C in working aliquots and limit freeze-thaw cycles to preserve activity. The unconjugated format makes the antibody suitable for Western blot analysis of TNFRSF1B expression in cell lysates and for immunohistochemistry mapping of TNFR2 distribution in paraffin-embedded or freshly frozen tissue sections from inflamed, neoplastic, or regenerative specimens.
