Raised in rabbit and supplied at a working concentration of 1.0 mg/mL, this polyclonal IgG reagent from Antibodies.com is designed to detect endogenous levels of total TMPRSS3 protein in human and mouse samples. The immunogen is a synthesized peptide derived from the C-terminal region of human TMPRSS3, and the antibody is affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity-chromatography using the epitope-specific immunogen. It is unconjugated and provided as a 50 µL aliquot in phosphate-buffered saline (without Mg²⁺ and Ca²⁺), pH 7.4, containing 150 mM NaCl, 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol. The product is validated for Western blot (WB) and immunocytochemistry/immunofluorescence (ICC/IF) workflows. For shipment it is packaged at 4 °C, and upon arrival it should be aliquoted and stored at –20 °C, with repeated freeze/thaw cycles avoided to preserve activity. TMPRSS3, also referenced as ECH, TADG12, TADG-12, or Transmembrane protease serine 3, is a membrane-anchored serine protease implicated in auditory function, and this preparation offers a robust tool for studying its expression in relevant cell and tissue models. Intended for research use only and not for diagnostic or therapeutic applications, the reagent combines cross-species reactivity across two key mammalian systems with the breadth of a polyclonal preparation, making it well suited to both routine detection assays and exploratory work on this under-characterized protease.
