Anti-TMLHE Antibody

Produced by Antibodies.com, this IgG polyclonal reagent is raised in rabbit and selectively recognizes human epsilon-trimethyllysine hydroxylase, the mitochondrial 2-oxoglutarate-dependent dioxygenase that initiates the carnitine biosynthesis pathway by hydroxylating 6-N-trimethyllysine to 3-hydroxy-6-N-trimethyllysine. The unconjugated format gives laboratories complete control over secondary antibody and fluorophore pairing, so the same vial can be reused across multiple immunofluorescence experiments on cultured cells or fixed tissue sections with different detection channels.

Ships at 50 µl per vial with a recommended storage temperature of -20 °C; aliquotting on first use and protecting from light helps preserve lot-to-lot activity across sequential IF runs. The reagent is validated on human samples, supporting studies of mitochondrial carnitine metabolism, fatty acid beta-oxidation, and neurodevelopmental research where loss-of-function TMLHE variants at Xq28 have been investigated in connection with X-linked autism spectrum disorder and reduced carnitine output.
