This rabbit polyclonal IgG reagent from Antibodies.com recognizes the type I transmembrane protein TMEFF2, also known as Tomoregulin-2, TENB2, or HPP1. The target carries an EGF-like motif and two follistatin-like domains and is described in the literature as an androgen-regulated tumor suppressor whose sequence is highly conserved across mammalian species. The antibody is supplied as an unconjugated, affinity-purified200 µl liquid vial and is validated specifically for western blot, where it detects endogenous TMEFF2 in human, mouse, and rat samples and supports comparative work on prostate and brain tissue.

TMEFF2 has been most extensively studied in prostate cancer biology, where it modulates sarcosine levels through a physical interaction with sarcosine dehydrogenase (SARDH) and influences integrin subunit expression and RhoA activation in 22Rv1 and LNCaP cells. The reagent is therefore well suited to western blot analysis of whole-cell lysates and RIPA extracts from these and other prostate or neuronal lines, and polyclonal recognition of multiple epitopes aids reproducible band detection across tissues such as hippocampus, cerebral cortex, and prostate gland. For handling, store at -20 °C in working aliquots and avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles to preserve activity. Research use only.
