Anti-TIE2 (Phospho-Tyr992) Antibody

This rabbit polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com targets TIE2 (also known as TEK), detecting the protein only when phosphorylated at tyrosine 992. It is validated for Western blotting and reacts with Human samples, supplied as an unconjugated reagent.

The antibody was generated by immunizing rabbits with a synthetic phosphopeptide–KLH conjugate corresponding to the sequence around the tyrosine 992 phosphorylation site (E-V-Y(p)-V-K) of Human TIE2. It recognises endogenous levels of TIE2 only when phosphorylated at Tyr992. The reagent is provided at a concentration of 1.0 mg/mL in phosphate-buffered saline (pH 7.4, without Mg²⁺ and Ca²⁺) containing 150 mM NaCl, 0.02% sodium azide, and 50% glycerol. Purification was carried out by affinity chromatography using the epitope-specific phosphopeptide, with non-phospho-specific antibodies removed via chromatography against the non-phosphopeptide.

The recommended working dilution for Western blotting is 1:500–1:1000. The antibody is shipped at 4°C and should be aliquoted upon arrival and stored at -20°C, avoiding repeated freeze/thaw cycles.
