Anti-Tie-2 (phospho-Y1108) Antibody

This phospho-specific polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com selectively recognizes the Y1108 phosphorylated form of Tie-2 (also known as TEK), a receptor tyrosine kinase expressed on vascular endothelium and a subset of hematopoietic precursors. Raised in rabbit and affinity-purified, the unconjugated IgG is supplied at 1 mg/ml in phosphate buffered saline containing 0.05% sodium azide at approximately pH 7.2, and is validated for Western blot detection of the phospho-Y1108 epitope in lysates from human, mouse, and rat origin.

The 100 µl vial supports multiple immunoblotting experiments, and the reagent enables mechanistic studies of angiopoietin-driven signaling, endothelial cell activation, and tumor angiogenesis pathways where dynamic phosphorylation of Tie-2 is being mapped across biological samples. Sodium azide at 0.05% preserves the antibody for short-term handling at ambient temperature; for longer term storage, refrigerate the vial and aliquot to limit freeze-thaw exposure of the working stock.
