Manufactured by Antibodies.com, this purified mouse monoclonal antibody is raised against the β subunit of human Thyroid Stimulating Hormone (TSH) and recognises both the free beta chain and the intact TSH molecule. The reagent is supplied at 1 mg/mL in a 1 mg pack size as a liquid preparation that has been purified from ascites by affinity chromatography, and it is presented in an unconjugated format suitable for direct labelling in the user's own assay. Cloned from a mouse host, the immunoglobulin is of the IgG1 isotype and is intended primarily for ELISA-based detection of human TSH beta, with documented negligible cross-reactivity against human Follicle Stimulating Hormone (hFSH), human Growth Hormone (hGH) and the beta chain of human chorionic gonadotrophin (hCG). The reported affinity constant is 2×10¹⁰, supporting its use in sensitive immunoassays where specificity for the TSH beta subunit is critical. Researchers studying pituitary regulation of thyroid function, thyrotropic cell biology or the differential measurement of glycoprotein hormones will find this reagent a dependable tool for selective TSH detection. For optimal stability the antibody should be stored refrigerated at 2–8 °C in its concentrated form and, if diluted into working buffers, aliquoted to avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles; long-term storage at –20 °C is generally recommended for the unconjugated stock. The product is offered through AFMS as part of the Antibodies.com Primary Antibodies range, providing a well-characterised, monoclonal capture reagent for human TSH beta research applications.
