Anti-Thrombopoietin Antibody

Raised in rabbit against the human Thrombopoietin (THPO) cytokine, this unconjugated polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com recognizes the principal regulator of megakaryocyte differentiation and platelet production. Thrombopoietin is secreted chiefly by the liver and signals through the c-Mpl receptor on megakaryocyte progenitors to drive platelet biogenesis, making this reagent useful for studies of hematopoiesis, thrombocytopenia, and megakaryocytic disorders. The antibody is supplied as 100 µl at 1 mg/ml in a PBS buffer containing 0.1% sodium azide and 50% glycerol as cryoprotectant.
