Raised in rabbit, this unconjugated polyclonal reagent binds the extracellular domain of human Thrombomodulin (CD141), a type-I transmembrane glycoprotein anchored on vascular endothelial cells where it regulates coagulation and inflammation.

At the endothelial surface, Thrombomodulin captures thrombin and redirects it toward protein C activation, driving the protein C anticoagulant pathway; the same lectin-like domain independently suppresses complement activation and leukocyte adhesion, placing CD141 at the interface of clotting and innate immunity.

From Antibodies.com, the antibody is supplied as 100 µl of liquid intended for WB (Western blot) and IF (immunofluorescence) workflows on human samples, with no reporter attached so it can be paired with a user-selected secondary antibody for chromogenic, fluorescent, or HRP-based detection in immunostaining and immunoblotting protocols.

Typical research applications include tracking endothelial Thrombomodulin expression in cultured human endothelial cells, frozen or paraffin-embedded tissue sections, and lysates for studies of sepsis-associated coagulopathy, atherosclerosis, microvascular injury, transplant-related endothelial dysfunction, and diabetic vascular complications.
