This rabbit polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com targets Thrombomodulin (CD141), a single-pass transmembrane glycoprotein expressed predominantly on vascular endothelial cells, where it acts as the endothelial cofactor for thrombin-mediated activation of protein C. Raised in rabbit and affinity-purified, the reagent is unconjugated and validated for Western blot (WB) detection of the endogenous target in samples of human, mouse, and rat origin. The product is supplied as 50 µl of a 1 mg/ml stock in PBS containing 0.1% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, ready to dilute into standard blotting buffers.

Thrombomodulin expression is routinely used as a marker of endothelial integrity, and the protein is implicated in the regulation of coagulation, inflammation, and vascular homeostasis, including in studies of endothelial-to-mesenchymal transition and tumor-microenvironment biology. Researchers commonly apply anti-thrombomodulin reagents to characterize endothelial responses in models of sepsis, venous thrombosis, atherosclerosis, and acute lung injury. Storage temperature of -20 °C in working aliquots is recommended to preserve activity, with freeze-thaw cycles minimized by splitting the 50 µl stock upon first thaw.
