Thrombospondin-1 (THBS1) is a trimeric matricellular glycoprotein that regulates angiogenesis, platelet aggregation, and cell-matrix interactions, making it a focal point in cancer biology, vascular research, and fibrosis studies. The polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com is raised in rabbit hosts against the THBS1 target and supplied unconjugated, ready for downstream western blot and immunohistochemistry workflows on human samples.

Validated for WB and IHC applications, this polyclonal antibody detects endogenous THBS1 expression in cell lysates and formalin-fixed tissue sections. The unconjugated format gives investigators flexibility to pair the reagent with custom HRP, biotin, or fluorophore labeling chemistries of their own choosing. Each vial contains 100 µl of antisera; aliquoting upon first use is recommended to limit repeated freeze-thaw cycles on the antibody stock. Short-term storage refrigerated at 4°C is appropriate for working aliquots, while frozen long-term storage at -20°C is recommended for the stock vial.

Human reactivity is confirmed for this reagent, with the antibody commonly deployed in studies of tumor microenvironment remodeling, diabetic nephropathy, wound healing progression, and endothelial dysfunction. Pairing this THBS1 primary antibody with an appropriate species-matched secondary reagent yields clean signal in immunoblot bands near the expected molecular weight of the THBS1 monomer, supporting reliable interpretation across routine immunoblotting and tissue-section imaging protocols.
