THAP1 is a C2CH zinc finger transcription factor implicated in chromatin remodeling, cell cycle control, and apoptosis. Loss-of-function mutations in the THAP1 gene cause DYT6 dystonia, an inherited movement disorder, making the protein a key target in neuroscience and molecular biology research. This polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com is raised in rabbit and validated for western blot and immunohistochemistry on human, mouse, and rat samples. The unconjugated reagent is supplied at 1 mg/ml in PBS with 0.1% sodium azide and 50% glycerol as a cryoprotectant, and is packaged in a 100 µl volume sufficient for many experiments. For routine handling, store the antibody frozen in working aliquots and limit freeze-thaw cycles to preserve binding activity. The reagent enables detection of endogenous THAP1, supporting studies of nuclear body organization, transcription factor function, and dystonia-associated variants.
