This TGM1 polyclonal reagent targets keratinocyte transglutaminase, an enzyme that catalyzes calcium-dependent protein cross-linking during formation of the cornified cell envelope in upper epidermal layers. Raised in rabbits and prepared as an unconjugated IgG, the antibody is supplied by Antibodies.com as a 200 µL liquid aliquot suitable for use as a primary reagent in immunolabeling workflows. It is recommended for western blot and immunohistochemistry on human and rat tissues, supporting studies of epidermal barrier assembly and terminal keratinocyte differentiation. Researchers investigating skin disorders linked to defective cornification, including autosomal recessive lamellar ichthyosis, apply anti-TGM1 antibodies to map expression across differentiating keratinocyte layers and to characterize skin-disease model phenotypes.
