Offered by Antibodies.com, this lyophilised mouse monoclonal reagent (clone TB21) is raised against Transforming Growth Factor beta and is validated for use in immunohistochemistry (IHC) and Western blotting (WB) on human samples. The antibody is supplied at 500 µg as a lyophilised powder prepared in 0.01 M Phosphate Buffered Saline (pH 7.0), which should be reconstituted with double-distilled water; final concentration is reconstitution dependent, and purity is established by Protein G affinity chromatography. It is of the IgG1 isotype, unconjugated, and was generated using TGF-ß purified from human platelets as the immunogen, recognising both platelet-derived and recombinant TGF-β in ELISA as well as the 25 kDa dimeric and 12.5 kDa monomeric forms under non-reducing and reducing conditions respectively. For transport, the vial is shipped at 4 °C; upon arrival it should be aliquoted and stored at –20 °C, with repeated freeze/thaw cycles avoided to preserve activity. Intended for research use only, this Antibodies.com product provides a reliable monoclonal option for laboratories studying TGF-β signalling in human tissue and cell-based assays.
