Anti-TGF beta Antibody [8C4]

A mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody (clone 8C4) from Antibodies.com, raised against Transforming Growth Factor beta (TGF-β). This unconjugated primary antibody is validated for ELISA and immunohistochemistry (IHC) and is reactive with human samples.

According to the manufacturer, the immunogen was TGF-β from human platelets, and western blotting demonstrated that the antibody reacts with the dimeric (25 kDa) and monomeric (12.5 kDa) forms of TGF-β under non-reducing and reducing conditions respectively. It also recognises both human platelet-derived and recombinant TGF-β in ELISA.

The antibody is supplied lyophilised from a solution of 0.01M phosphate buffered saline (pH 7.0), purified by Protein G affinity chromatography. It is shipped at 4°C and should be aliquoted and stored at −20°C, avoiding freeze/thaw cycles. Reconstitution is with double distilled water; concentration is reconstitution dependent.
