Anti-TGF beta Antibody [2C5]

Supplied by Antibodies.com, this mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody (clone 2C5) is raised against Transforming Growth Factor beta using TGF-β purified from human platelets as the immunogen and is produced in the Sp2/0-Ag14 myeloma line. The unconjugated reagent is provided as a 500 µg lyophilised preparation, dried from 0.01 M phosphate buffered saline at pH 7.0, and is reconstituted with double distilled water to a working concentration determined by the user. Purification by Protein G affinity chromatography yields a clean reagent intended for research use only. The clone has been validated for ELISA and Western blotting and reacts with human Transforming Growth Factor beta; in immunoblotting it recognises both the 25 kDa dimeric form under non-reducing conditions and the 12.5 kDa monomeric form under reducing conditions, while in ELISA it binds human platelet-derived as well as recombinant TGF-β.
