Supplied by Antibodies.com, this rabbit polyclonal primary reagent is raised against transforming growth factor beta receptor II (TGF-β RII). The product is presented as a 50 µl aliquot at 1 mg/ml in PBS containing 0.1% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, prepared as an unconjugated reagent that can be paired with HRP- or fluorophore-labeled secondary antibodies in user-defined detection workflows.

Validated for Western blot and immunofluorescence, the antibody recognizes endogenous TGF-β RII in human, mouse, and rat samples. TGF-β RII is a transmembrane serine/threonine kinase that, together with the type I receptor, propagates SMAD-dependent signal transduction governing proliferation, extracellular matrix deposition, and epithelial-mesenchymal transition in many tissue contexts. Because glycerol stabilizes antibody conformation and sodium azide suppresses microbial growth, working stocks tolerate refrigerated storage around 4 °C with limited freeze-thaw exposure, allowing routine reuse over the lifetime of the aliquot.

Typical uses include probing fixed-cell monolayers by immunofluorescence, staining frozen tissue cryosections, and probing Western blot transfers of cell or tissue lysates, where dilution into standard blocking buffers yields clear signal across the washes and antibody incubations of a normal protocol.
