Produced as a rabbit polyclonal reagent, this unconjugated primary antibody targets transforming growth factor alpha (TGFα), a mitogenic ligand of the EGF receptor implicated in epithelial cell proliferation, wound healing, and oncogenic signaling pathways.
Distributed by Antibodies.com, it is validated for Western blot detection of the human, mouse, and rat target, enabling comparative studies across species in tissue and cell lysate samples.
The antibody is formulated at 1 mg/ml in phosphate buffered saline containing 0.05% sodium azide at approximately pH 7.2, and is provided as a 100 µl vial providing enough reagent for multiple blotting experiments. Researchers investigating EGFR-driven pathways, gastrointestinal mucosal biology, or tumor progression find this polyclonal reagent helpful for detecting endogenous TGFα protein levels in normal and transformed cell systems.
Store refrigerated and aliquot if repeated use is anticipated, to limit freeze-thaw cycles on the stock.
