Anti-TFPI Antibody

Raised in rabbit as an unconjugated polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com, this 100 µl antibody recognizes Tissue Factor Pathway Inhibitor (TFPI), a Kunitz-type serine protease regulator secreted primarily by vascular endothelium. TFPI restrains the tissue factor-driven arm of the coagulation cascade by inhibiting Factor VIIa within the TF-FVIIa complex and by down-regulating Factor Xa, helping maintain hemostatic balance at the vessel wall and modulating thrombin generation during inflammation, injury, and tumor progression.

Validated for Western blot, immunohistochemistry, and immunofluorescence, the reagent has been tested on human, mouse, and rat samples and is commonly used to probe TFPI expression in studies of vascular biology, atherosclerosis, sepsis-related coagulopathy, hepatic and placental tissue, and the tumor microenvironment. As a polyclonal preparation, it offers multi-epitope recognition that supports detection of full-length TFPI across denaturing and native sample preparations.
