Anti-Tfg2 Antibody

The Anti-Tfg2 Antibody from Antibodies.com is a rabbit polyclonal reagent directed against the Tfg2 subunit of the yeast general transcription factor TFIIF. Tfg2 corresponds to the small subunit of TFIIF (homologous to mammalian RAP30) and contributes to RNA polymerase II recruitment, transcription initiation, and promoter escape in Saccharomyces cerevisiae. The unconjugated IgG is supplied as a 100 µl liquid preparation validated for Western blot detection of endogenous Tfg2 in yeast lysates.

This reagent supports studies of pre-initiation complex assembly, transcription factor function, and RNA Pol II regulation in budding yeast. For long-term use, aliquot the antibody and store frozen, limiting repeated freeze-thaw cycles, and protect from light. Intended for research use only.
