TFF1 (Trefoil Factor 1), also called pS2 or BCEI, is a small secreted mucin-associated peptide of roughly 6.5 kDa that supports gastrointestinal mucosal defense, restitution, and epithelial repair after injury. It is also recognized as an estrogen-regulated marker studied in breast and gastric carcinoma research, where altered expression patterns inform work on hormone-responsive tumor biology.

The rabbit polyclonal antibody distributed by Antibodies.com is raised against TFF1 and validated for western blot detection in human, mouse, and rat samples. It is supplied as 100 µl of unconjugated reagent at 1 mg/ml in a vial of phosphate buffered saline (PBS) containing 0.05% sodium azide, approximately pH 7.2. This unconjugated format lets laboratories pair it with their preferred HRP, fluorescent, or biotin-conjugated secondary reagents.

Because TFF1 is secreted by mucin-producing epithelial cells, the antibody is commonly applied to lysates and conditioned medium preparations during studies of mucosal healing, Barrett's esophagus, gastritis models, and estrogen-driven signaling in breast tissue. Western blot with this reagent allows researchers to confirm protein-level changes that complement transcript-level findings and supports reproducible detection of the trefoil factor across rodent and human sample sets.
