Anti-TFE3 Antibody

The polyclonal rabbit reagent from Antibodies.com targets Transcription Factor E3 (TFE3), a member of the microphthalmia-associated (MiT) family of basic helix-loop-helix-leucine zipper transcription factors. TFE3 coordinates lysosomal biogenesis, autophagy induction, and metabolic gene programs, and remains of clinical interest because Xp11.2 chromosomal translocations generate oncogenic fusion proteins in alveolar soft part sarcoma and a recognized subset of Xp11 translocation renal cell carcinomas. This unconjugated antibody is raised in rabbit and supplied at 1 mg/ml in phosphate buffered saline (PBS) containing 0.05% sodium azide at approximately pH 7.2.

Validated for western blotting (WB), immunohistochemistry (IHC), and immunocytochemistry (ICC), the antibody recognizes the human, mouse, and rat TFE3 orthologs, supporting cross-species studies of MiT-family signaling in cultured cells and fixed tissue sections. Laboratories apply it to probe endogenous TFE3 expression under nutrient-stress and mTORC1-related conditions, to map nuclear and cytoplasmic localization patterns in fixed cells, and to assist with classification of translocation-associated tumors in which TFE3 protein levels are elevated in lesional nuclei. Aliquot working stocks upon receipt, store refrigerated for active use, and for long-term storage freeze the vial while limiting freeze-thaw cycles to preserve antibody performance across experiments. Each vial contains 100 µL of the formulated polyclonal reagent.
