TFAM (Transcription Factor A, Mitochondrial) is a high-mobility-group box protein that binds mitochondrial DNA and drives transcription of the mitochondrial genome's oxidative-phosphorylation subunits. This unconjugated rabbit polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com targets the human TFAM protein and is supplied as 100 µl of antibody in a single-use vial, validated for western blot and immunohistochemistry workflows.

Investigators working on mitochondrial biogenesis, mtDNA copy-number regulation, or disorders of mitochondrial gene expression use this primary antibody on cultured human cells and on formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded tissue sections. The polyclonal format provides broader epitope coverage across the TFAM sequence than a monoclonal clone, which is useful when probing for alternative isoforms or when antibody access to the target is constrained by mitochondrial membrane fractionation.

Each lot is produced under the Antibodies.com quality program and ships as unconjugated antibody in a vial, allowing researchers to pair it with their own preferred secondary antibody and detection chemistry for WB and IHC applications.
