TFAM (Mitochondrial Transcription Factor A) is a high-mobility-group protein that drives mitochondrial DNA transcription initiation, packaging, and copy-number control. This rabbit polyclonal reagent recognizes human TFAM and supports studies of mitochondrial biogenesis, oxidative phosphorylation deficiency, and mtDNA maintenance disorders.
Validated across three complementary immunodetection workflows, the unconjugated antibody is applied in Western blot, immunohistochemistry, and immunofluorescence on cultured cells and tissue sections. It is supplied at 1 mg/ml in PBS with 0.1% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, packaged as a 100 µl vial. For long-term stability, store at -20 °C in single-use aliquots and limit freeze-thaw exposure.
Each lot is supplied by Antibodies.com and is intended for research use only, supporting in vitro investigations into the molecular basis of mitochondrial gene expression and the cellular response to metabolic stress.
