The Anti-Tfa1 polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com is raised in rabbit and specifically detects the Tfa1 subunit of the general transcription factor TFIIE in Saccharomyces cerevisiae. Tfa1 (also known as the 55 kDa large subunit of TFIIE) functions during RNA polymerase II transcription initiation, where it collaborates with the small subunit Tfa2 to promote promoter melting and the recruitment of TFIIH. Researchers studying yeast gene regulation, transcription-coupled processes, and DNA damage response pathways rely on this reagent.
This unconjugated IgG antibody is supplied as a 100 µl liquid aliquot and has been validated for western blot (WB) applications. For best results, store the vial refrigerated at 4 degrees C, avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles, and aliquot upon first use to preserve antibody activity. Intended for research use only.
