Anti-TET2 Antibody

A polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com raised in rabbit hosts and directed against TET2, a Fe(II) and 2-oxoglutarate-dependent dioxygenase that catalyzes the iterative oxidation of 5-methylcytosine to 5-hydroxymethylcytosine and further oxidized methylcytosines, central to active DNA demethylation and epigenetic reprogramming in human cells.

Provided at 1 mg/ml in PBS with 0.1% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, this unconjugated reagent is supplied as a 100 µl aliquot and has been validated for western blot, immunofluorescence, and immunoprecipitation on human samples. The antibody recognizes the human TET2 protein and is widely used to investigate loss-of-function mutations, hydroxymethylcytosine pathway activity, and the contribution of TET2 dysfunction to clonal hematopoiesis, myelodysplastic syndromes, acute myeloid leukemia, and related myeloid neoplasms.

The 50% glycerol cryoprotectant formulation minimizes freeze-thaw damage during repeated use, supporting immunoblotting of TET2 from cell lysates, immunofluorescent visualization of nuclear staining patterns, and immunoprecipitation of endogenous TET2-containing chromatin or protein complexes.
