Anti-TERT Antibody

Manufactured by Antibodies.com within their Primary Antibodies range, this unconjugated rabbit polyclonal antibody recognises TERT (Telomerase Reverse Transcriptase), the catalytic subunit of telomerase also known by the synonyms EST2, HEST2, TCS1, Telomerase catalytic subunit, Telomerase-associated protein 2, TP2 and TRT. The reagent is raised in rabbit and purified by affinity chromatography using the immunogen, a synthetic peptide corresponding to human TERT. It is supplied at 1.0 mg/mL in phosphate-buffered saline (without Mg²⁺ and Ca²⁺), pH 7.4, containing 150 mM NaCl, 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol. According to the manufacturer, the antibody detects endogenous levels of total TERT and is validated for Western blot (WB), while the Antibodies.com product listing also indicates suitability for immunohistochemistry (IHC). Reactivity is reported for Human and Rat samples. The product is shipped at 4°C and, upon delivery, should be aliquoted and stored at -20°C, with freeze/thaw cycles to be avoided.
