Raised in rabbit against the Tudor and KH domain-containing protein, this polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com targets TDRKH, a mitochondrial-outer-membrane and cytoplasmic component best known for its role in the piRNA ping-pong amplification loop that silences transposable elements during male germ cell development. TDRKH is expressed in spermatocytes and round spermatids, where it partners with TDRD1, TDRD5, TDRD6, TDRD7, and TDRD9 to scaffold the nuage and direct transposon defense in the testis.

Validated for Western blot and immunohistochemistry, the reagent detects endogenous TDRKH in human, mouse, and rat samples. The unconjugated IgG is supplied as 100 µl at 1 mg/ml in PBS with 0.1% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, suitable for direct labeling or secondary-detection workflows. Glycerol in the formulation prevents freeze-thaw damage during routine aliquot storage at -20 °C, while sodium azide preserves the antibody for repeated bench use.

Typical research applications include mapping TDRKH expression across stages of spermatogenesis by IHC on paraffin or frozen testicular sections, confirming piRNA pathway activity in knock-out or knock-down models by Western blot, and probing the protein's association with ping-pong biogenesis factors such as PIWIL1 and PIWIL2. The reagent is offered by Antibodies.com for research use only and is not validated for diagnostic or therapeutic applications.
