Distributed by Antibodies.com, this polyclonal reagent is raised in rabbit against translationally-controlled tumor protein (TCTP), also known as Fortilin, HRF, p23 or TPT1, and is supplied as an affinity-purified IgG preparation at 1.0 mg/mL in a 50 µL volume of phosphate-buffered saline (pH 7.4) containing 150 mM NaCl, 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol. The immunogen is a synthesized peptide derived from an internal region of human TCTP, and the antibody is unconjugated, allowing flexible downstream labelling in Western blotting and immunohistochemistry workflows. It detects endogenous levels of total TCTP protein in human, mouse and rat samples, making it suitable for cross-species studies of this histamine-releasing factor and its role in tumour biology. The product is shipped at 4 °C and should be aliquoted and stored at –20 °C upon arrival, with repeated freeze/thaw cycles avoided to preserve activity; the buffered formulation already contains 50% glycerol as a cryoprotectant. As a research-grade polyclonal reagent intended for laboratory use only, this TCTP antibody offers consistent lot-to-lot performance for validation of expression patterns in cell lysates and paraffin-embedded tissue sections.
