The TCP1 protein (T-complex protein 1 subunit alpha) is a molecular chaperone component of the TRiC/CCT chaperonin complex, which assists in the ATP-dependent folding of actin, tubulin, and other cytoskeletal substrates. This rabbit polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com is raised against TCP1 and is validated for Western blot (WB), immunohistochemistry (IHC), and immunofluorescence (IF) workflows.

Cross-reactive with human, mouse, and rat samples, the reagent supports comparative studies of cytoskeletal chaperone biology across model organisms. Supplied as 100 µl of unconjugated antiserum, the antibody can be paired with a secondary detection reagent of choice—HRP, fluorophore-conjugated, or biotinylated—depending on the assay format. Polyclonal reactivity broadens recognition across multiple epitopes on TCP1, useful when probing denatured lysates in WB or fixed sections in IHC.

Investigations into CCT complex assembly, cytoskeletal protein folding, and chaperone-mediated proteostasis benefit from this reagent, particularly in research areas covering cell division, neurodegeneration, and cancer cell migration where TCP1/TRiC function has been implicated.
