Anti-TCN2 Antibody

From Antibodies.com, this affinity-purified rabbit polyclonal antibody targets TCN2 (Transcobalamin II) and is validated for use in Western blot (WB) and immunohistochemistry (IHC). It is unconjugated and was raised against recombinant full-length human TCN2, with specificity for detecting endogenous levels of the TCN2 protein in Human and Mouse samples.

The antibody is formulated at 1mg/ml in PBS with 0.1% Sodium Azide and 50% Glycerol. Reported purity exceeds 95% as determined by SDS-PAGE, following affinity-chromatography using epitope-specific immunogen. The target protein has a molecular weight of ~48 kDa.

Transcobalamin II is a secreted protein belonging to the eukaryotic cobalamin transport proteins family and to the vitamin B12-binding protein family. The gene encoding TCN2 maps to chromosome 22q12.2. The protein binds cobalamin and mediates its transport into cells, and is expressed as a plasma protein in various tissues and secretions.
