Produced in rabbit as a polyclonal IgG reagent, this unconjugated antibody specifically targets TCEB1, the 13 kDa Elongin B subunit of the SIII transcription elongation factor. TCEB1 forms the Elongin BC complex with Elongin C and acts as a regulatory bridge to Elongin A, contributing to RNA polymerase II transcriptional elongation. The protein also partners with the von Hippel-Lindau tumour suppressor to assemble a Cullin 2-based E3 ubiquitin ligase that drives hydroxylated HIF alpha substrate turnover via the ubiquitin-proteasome pathway.

Supplied by Antibodies.com in a 200 ul vial, the reagent is validated for western blot and immunohistochemistry workflows on human, mouse, and rat tissue. Recommended handling includes brief equilibration to room temperature before use and storage at -20 degrees C in working aliquots to limit freeze-thaw damage to the IgG preparation. Short-term refrigeration at 4 degrees C is acceptable for the reconstituted working stock. The unconjugated format allows the antibody to be paired with secondary detection reagents matched to the IgG isotype and the chosen chromogenic, fluorescent, or chemiluminescent readout.

Researchers studying transcription elongation, VHL-associated renal cell carcinoma models, hypoxia signalling, or Elongin complex biochemistry use this reagent to probe endogenous TCEB1 expression in cell lysates and fixed tissue sections. As an affinity-purified polyclonal reagent, the antibody recognises multiple epitopes on TCEB1, supporting reproducible signal across WB and IHC applications in human, mouse, and rat samples.
