This polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com targets TBX5, a member of the T-box family of transcription factors that plays an essential role in cardiac specification and upper limb morphogenesis during embryonic development.

Raised in Rabbit and formulated as an IgG isotype reagent, the unconjugated antibody is supplied as a 200 µl liquid aliquot and is validated for Western blot (WB) and immunohistochemistry (IHC) workflows on Human samples, including paraffin-embedded tissue sections and whole-cell lysates.

TBX5 expression is a widely used marker in studies of congenital heart defects, Holt-Oram syndrome, and cardiac developmental biology, where researchers examine its nuclear localization in atrial and ventricular cardiomyocyte precursors as well as its patterning role in the forelimb bud.

The polyclonal format offers recognition of multiple epitopes on the TBX5 protein, supporting detection of full-length and naturally occurring isoform variants, and allows investigation of transcriptional complexes involving cofactors such as NKX2-5 and GATA4 during heart septation.

For routine use, aliquot upon first thaw to limit freeze-thaw cycles and preserve antibody activity across repeated experiments in chromatin immunoprecipitation, immunofluorescence, and standard Western blot assays.
