This rabbit polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com targets TBX5, a T-box family transcription factor essential for cardiac and forelimb development. TBX5 is well known for its role in upper limb morphogenesis and atrial septation, and heterozygous loss-of-function mutations in the gene underlie Holt-Oram syndrome, an autosomal dominant disorder marked by upper-limb skeletal anomalies and congenital heart defects such as atrial and ventricular septal defects.

The reagent is supplied as 100 µl of unconjugated polyclonal antiserum raised in rabbit and is validated for western blot and immunohistochemistry applications on human and mouse samples. Researchers studying cardiogenesis, congenital heart disease, limb patterning, or the transcriptional networks that pair TBX5 with cofactors such as NKX2-5 and GATA4 can use this reagent to detect endogenous TBX5 protein in cell lysates and in fixed tissue sections.

Provided in a single-use vial format, this primary antibody is intended for research use only and supports short-term experimental workflows in developmental biology and cardiovascular research.
