Primary antibody targeting TBCA, the tubulin-specific chaperone A protein, raised in rabbit hosts for laboratory research applications. This polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com detects the tubulin-folding cofactor in samples of human and murine origin, supporting both Western blot and immunohistochemistry workflows in cell biology and cytoskeletal studies. Each vial contains 100 µL of unconjugated antiserum suitable for routine and exploratory immunolabelling of TBCA protein in tissue sections and whole cell lysates.
TBCA functions alongside TBCB as a beta-tubulin binding partner that contributes to proper tubulin dimer assembly and microtubule biogenesis, pathways frequently studied in the context of neuronal development, cytoskeletal dynamics, and certain cancer cell proliferation models. The rabbit polyclonal design expands the epitope coverage window relative to monoclonal reagents, which is helpful when working with post-translationally modified or modestly conserved regions of the chaperone. Researchers using this reagent commonly probe for altered TBCA expression in glioblastoma, hepatoma, and developmental tissue surveys.
For Western blot, the antibody is applied to denatured lysates separated by SDS-PAGE; bands corresponding to TBCA appear near the expected molecular weight of the endogenous chaperone. For immunohistochemistry, antigen retrieval conditions in citrate buffer at elevated temperature followed by standard HRP or fluorescence development produce localized signal in suitable tissue sections. Aliquot upon first use and store refrigerated to preserve reactivity across multiple experiments; avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles. Short-term handling on ice is recommended when preparing working dilutions in BSA-supplemented buffer.
This product is supplied as research use only and is not intended for diagnostic procedures. The unconjugated format leaves the user free to choose a secondary detection system (HRP, biotin, or fluorophore conjugates) matched to the specific assay scale.
