Manufactured by Antibodies.com and originally cloned from the virulent Mycobacterium tuberculosis strain H37Rv, this unconjugated Mouse monoclonal antibody (clone C12H11) recognises the immunodominant 38 kDa antigen (38Kd Ag) of M. tuberculosis, a phosphate-binding protein implicated in the regulation of virulence-associated functions. The reagent is supplied as a 500 µg lyophilised aliquot from a Protein G affinity-purified preparation in 0.01 M PBS (pH 7.0) with no preservatives, and should be reconstituted with double-distilled water to a working concentration of 1.0 mg/mL prior to use. Once reconstituted, it is recommended to aliquot and store the antibody at –20 °C, avoiding repeated freeze-thaw cycles to preserve activity. Isotyped as IgG2a (kappa) and raised in a Mouse host, the antibody is validated for ELISA (EIA) and Western Blot (WB) applications, where it is reactive with the recombinant immunogen in ELISA and detects the corresponding band in Western Blot. Cross-reactivity with non-target proteins has not been identified in human samples, supporting its use in tuberculosis research workflows including serology and antigen detection studies. This product is intended for research use only and is not approved for diagnostic or therapeutic applications.
