The 38 kDa antigen of Mycobacterium tuberculosis, also known as PstS1, is a phosphate-binding lipoprotein anchored to the mycobacterial cell envelope and recognized as one of the most immunodominant targets during infection. The C11B10 monoclonal antibody from Antibodies.com binds specifically this antigen, enabling researchers to investigate TB pathogenesis, evaluate recombinant vaccine candidates, and characterize humoral immune responses in exposed populations.

Supplied as lyophilised powder at 100 µg, this unconjugated mouse monoclonal reagent (IgG2a isotype) is validated for ELISA and Western Blot. In immunoblots, the antibody reveals the diagnostic ~38 kDa band in lysates from M. tuberculosis cultures or clinical specimens. Researchers also apply it as a detection reagent in plate-based immunoassays developed in-house for measuring antigen-specific antibody titers, screening hybridoma supernatants, and mapping B-cell epitopes relevant to TB diagnostics.

For storage, keep the lyophilised vial refrigerated and protected from light; once reconstituted in sterile buffer, aliquot into single-use portions and store frozen at -20°C to minimize freeze-thaw loss. The reagent is intended for in vitro research use only and supports studies in infectious disease, immunology, and clinical biomarker discovery.
