From Antibodies.com, this primary antibody is a rabbit polyclonal reagent that targets Tau (V398). It is unconjugated and validated for immunohistochemistry (IHC) applications, with reactivity confirmed against human, mouse, and rat samples.
The antibody was raised against a synthetic peptide corresponding to amino acids 371-420 of human Tau. It is supplied at 1 mg/ml in phosphate buffered saline (PBS) containing 0.05% sodium azide, at approximately pH 7.2. The reagent detects endogenous levels of Tau protein, with a reported molecular weight range of 50 to 80 kDa.
Affinity-chromatography using the epitope-specific immunogen was used to purify the antibody, yielding a purity greater than 95% by SDS-PAGE.
