Detect phosphorylated Tau at the Ser512 epitope with this rabbit polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com, supplied unconjugated at 1 mg/ml in phosphate buffered saline (PBS) containing 15 mM sodium azide at approximately pH 7.2.
Tau is a neuronal microtubule-associated protein whose abnormal hyperphosphorylation drives neurofibrillary tangle formation in Alzheimer's disease and related tauopathies; phosphorylation at S512 is one of several post-translational marks monitored in neuroscience and neurodegeneration research.
The antibody is validated for western blot on human, mouse, and rat samples, making it useful for comparative studies across model systems and patient-derived lysates. Provided as a 100 µl vial, the reagent supports multiple immunoblotting experiments when diluted to working concentration. Refrigerated storage preserves activity, and the format is intended for research use only.
