Anti-Tau (phospho-T212) Antibody

Manufactured by Antibodies.com, this rabbit polyclonal antibody is raised against Tau phosphorylated at threonine 212 (phospho-T212). The unconjugated reagent is supplied at 1 mg/ml in PBS containing 0.1% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, and is validated for Western blot (WB) and immunohistochemistry (IHC) on human, mouse and rat samples.

The immunogen is a synthetic phosphopeptide derived from human Tau-4 isoforms around the phosphorylation site of threonine 212. The antibody specifically detects endogenous levels of Tau only when phosphorylated at Thr529, the Tau-3 and Tau-4 isoforms phosphorylated at Thr212, and other isoforms phosphorylated at the corresponding site. The reagent has been affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity-chromatography using the epitope-specific immunogen, with purity greater than 95% by SDS-PAGE, and recognises Tau across an apparent molecular weight range of approximately 50 to 80 kDa.
