Anti-Tau (phospho-T205) Antibody

Rabbit polyclonal antibody to Tau (phospho-T205) is offered by Antibodies.com as an unconjugated primary antibody validated for Western blot (WB) applications. The reagent is raised in rabbit and reacts with human, mouse, and rat samples.

The immunogen is a synthetic phosphopeptide derived from human Tau-4 isoforms around the phosphorylation site of threonine 205. According to the manufacturer, the antibody detects endogenous levels of Tau only when phosphorylated at Thr205 (in isoforms Tau-3 and Tau-4) or at the corresponding site in other isoforms, and also recognises Tau phosphorylated at Thr522. The reported molecular weight range is 50 to 80 kDa, and the antibody is affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by epitope-specific affinity chromatography to a purity of > 95% (by SDS-PAGE).

The product is supplied at 1 mg/ml in phosphate buffered saline (PBS) with 0.05% sodium azide, at approximately pH 7.2.
