Anti-Tau (phospho-T181) Antibody

Offered by Antibodies.com, this rabbit polyclonal antibody is raised against Tau phosphorylated at threonine 181 (phospho-T181). It is supplied unconjugated, has been validated for immunohistochemistry (IHC), and reacts with human samples.

The immunogen is a synthetic phosphopeptide derived from human Tau-4 isoforms around the phosphorylation site of threonine 181. The antibody detects endogenous levels of Tau only when phosphorylated at Thr498, isoforms Tau-3 and Tau-4 phosphorylated at Thr181, and other isoforms phosphorylated at the corresponding site.

The product is formulated at 1 mg/ml in phosphate buffered saline (PBS) with 0.05% sodium azide, approximately pH 7.2. It was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity chromatography using an epitope-specific immunogen, with reported purity greater than 95% by SDS-PAGE. The Tau target protein has a molecular weight of 50 to 80 kDa.
