Anti-Tau (phospho S404) Antibody - Identical to Abcam (ab194746)

From Antibodies.com, this rabbit polyclonal antibody targets Tau phosphorylated at Ser404. It is unconjugated and of the IgG isotype, and is validated for Western blot, immunohistochemistry, and ICC/IF applications. Reactivity has been demonstrated with human, mouse, and rat samples.

The immunogen is a synthetic phosphorylated peptide corresponding to the region surrounding S404 of human Tau (NP_005901.2), with the peptide sequence DTSPR. The antibody is supplied as a liquid in Phosphate Buffered Saline (pH 7.3) containing 50% glycerol and 0.01% thiomersal, and has been purified by affinity chromatography. It is shipped at 4°C; upon delivery it should be aliquoted and stored at -20°C, with freeze/thaw cycles avoided.

Recommended dilutions are 1:500–1:2,000 for Western blot, 1:50–1:100 for immunohistochemistry, and 1:100–1:200 for ICC/IF. The antibody concentration is lot specific, and the target protein has a reported molecular weight of 65 kDa.
