Anti-Tau (phospho-S404) Antibody

A rabbit polyclonal antibody directed against Tau phosphorylated at Serine 404, available from Antibodies.com as a primary antibody. The reagent is unconjugated and validated for Western blot (WB), with reactivity confirmed against human, mouse and rat samples.

According to the manufacturer, the antibody was raised against a synthetic phosphopeptide derived from human Tau-4 isoforms surrounding the Ser404 phosphorylation site. It is reported to detect endogenous levels of Tau only when phosphorylated at Ser721, as well as Tau-4 isoforms phosphorylated at Ser404 and other isoforms phosphorylated at the corresponding site.

The antibody is supplied at 1 mg/ml in phosphate buffered saline (PBS) with 0.05% sodium azide, at approximately pH 7.2. It has been affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum using epitope-specific immunogen, with a stated purity of > 95% by SDS-PAGE.
