Anti-Tau (phospho-S396) Antibody

A rabbit polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com targets Tau phosphorylated at Serine 396 and is supplied unconjugated in phosphate buffered saline (PBS) with 0.05% sodium azide at approximately pH 7.2, at 1 mg/ml. The reagent is reactive with Human, Mouse and Rat samples and has been validated for Western Blot (WB) and Immunohistochemistry (IHC) applications.

The immunogen is a synthetic phosphopeptide derived from human Tau-4 isoforms around the phosphorylation site of Serine 396. According to the manufacturer, the antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity-chromatography using epitope-specific immunogen and detects endogenous levels of Tau only when phosphorylated at the corresponding site, including the Tau-4 isoform phosphorylated at Serine 396. The reported molecular weight of the target is 50 to 80 kDa, and the stated purity is greater than 95% as determined by SDS-PAGE.
